· Higher Resolution: The new release of All Topo Maps: Colorado uses an improved image compression engine that results in substantially better images and printouts. Topographic lines are no longer broken, text is significantly easier to read on the 1:24,000 scale maps. A sample is included for comparison. [ Compare old and new resolutions ]
· All the 1:100,000 Scale Maps: All 79 of the Colorado 1:100,000 scale maps are included. Like the 1:250,000 scale maps in your current set these additional maps can be displayed by pressing the "100" button on the All Topo viewer menu bar. Both the 100K and 250K maps are stored with 250 DPI resolution.
· Search by Township and Range and Section!: The new Colorado map set now includes PLS (Township Range and Section) search capabilities. You can enter a Township-Range-Section description like "T3S R102W S18" into the place name search box and the "Texas Creek; Colorado" quadrangle will be displayed, centered at Section 18. The PLS search database will directly locate every section of every township in Colorado. If you work with legal descriptions, the new All Topo Maps placename database will save you hours of time looking for 'the right map
· Search by Zip Code: The All Topo 'Search By Placename' finder also includes links to Colorado ZIP codes.
· The latest BigTopo Map Seamer, GPS Tool, All Topo Viewer: BigTopo, the GPS Interface tool and the very latest map viewer are all included in the new Colorado set. BigTopo generates huge seamless maps which can be viewed and annotated with the All Topo viewer or exported in a variety of formats.
· Edit Waypoint Tool w/ Symbols: Quickly set annotation attributes with the new 'Edit Waypoint' tool. Just right click on an annotation to change text, symbol and hyperlink attributes. Annotate your maps with one of the over 700 stock ,or custom images.
· Faster map decompression and BigTopo Compression: The .ITM compressed map format has been replaced with .IT3 a third-generation Archive Engine. Decompression is twice as fast, compression within BigTopo is 5 times faster!
· Tuffer Field-Ready Packaging: All Topo Map products are now packaged in tuffer dust-resistant boxes. Disks are packaged individually in polypropylene Safety-sleeves®. Our new packaging provides the best protection possible for your All Topo Map series. CD's no longer can fall from the retention posts and the outer shells won't crack.
